The success of Epil company, in obtaining the international ISO/IEC 17065 certification has paved the way for its connection to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), granting international recognition to the compliance certificates issued by this organization.
As a result, after successfully establishing specialized laboratories in fields such as electrical and electronic equipment, medical devices, functional safety (SIL), telecommunications equipment, smart meters, automation, information technology, and renewable energy (many of which are first-time productions), Epil has developed the necessary hardware and software infrastructure for conducting tests and issuing conformity assessment certificates for explosion-proof equipment. Following a successful audit conducted by experts from Australia, China, and South Africa, Epil became the first organization in the Middle East to simultaneously obtain laboratory and conformity assessment body licenses from IECEx.
This system is recognized as the most reliable conformity assessment system for explosion-proof equipment worldwide, providing a valuable tool for facilitating international trade while maintaining safety standards for manufacturers, regulators, and end users. With support from the National Standards Organization, the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Petroleum, and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Epil has resolved the issue of issuing international conformity assessment certificates for manufacturers of explosion-proof equipment without the need for foreign currency outflows.
