The HV Laboratory of the Energy and Power Industries Laboratory (EPIL), as one of the most important laboratories within this company, has been established with the aim of conducting insulation and dielectric tests according to valid international standards for various types of equipment under weak and high voltage.
This laboratory, as one of the first impartial and approved laboratories by Tavanir Company and the Institute of Standards, holds ISO17025 certification from the National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI) and also from the Analytica Center of Russia, which is traceable by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).
EPIL's HV Laboratory is equipped with a high voltage generator capable of producing a voltage up to 100 kilovolts continuously and impulse voltage up to 300 kilovolts. This laboratory provides facilities for conducting tests such as power frequency withstand voltage, impulse voltage withstand, measurement of insulation resistance, online and offline partial discharge (PD) measurement, and measurement of dielectric loss factor (tan δ).
Some examples of products tested in this laboratory include:
Some of the common standards used in the High Pressure Laboratory include:
IEC 60871, IEC 60660, IEC 62217, IEC 60076, IEC 60947, IEC 61439, IEC 62271, and IEC 60060-1.
